Monday, September 11, it is with a heavy-ish heart I can say this will be my last meeting as your fearless leader (SPL) for we will be holding elections as it is time for me to pass the torch. If you are planning on running for a position, you should prepare some kind of speech about why you should be elected.

Just as a reminder, we will be back in the church from here on out. Also, as it is after Labor Day, we will be back in Class A uniform.

Finally, anyone who took home any of the troop’s cooking supplies to clean after the last meeting, please bring it back on Monday so we can get the trailers repacked as soon as possible.

Monday, August 28th, we will be holding the DUTCH OVEN COOK-OFF!!!!!! Tonight we will be starting very early at 5:30pm so that there is plenty of time to cook and eat. Also, the meeting will be held by the trailer corral. I’m very excited. I hope you are all prepared and may the best patrol win.

Monday, August 21, we will be doing all of the prep work for the dutch oven cook-off. Make sure to bring your phone or something that you can look up recipes on. The meeting will be starting a little early at 6:30pm, so u guys are all ready for next week.

Monday, August 14th, we will be doing some orienteering requirements and practice, so bring your compasses.

This past weekend, we went to Treehouse Adventure which is a ropes course type thing. All of you that went, I hope u had a great time, and I am very proud to see you. All of you were very brave and perseverant.

On Sunday, I was very happy to see how many of you came out to help with the trailers. We made a lot of good progress on what we need to replace, restock and just overall organization. As we went through all of the stuff, we noticed there was a tent missing. It is a new one that is labeled 22-B. If you have it, please bring it to the next meeting so we can put it back in the trailers.

Monday, August 7th, you guys will be building a ballista. I will not be at the meeting, so Michael S will be in charge. This will be a super great team building activity and will be great fun, and I will be excited to hear about it at the next meeting. P.S. Make sure you wear your swimming suit and/or something you are ok getting wet!

Monday, July 31st, we will be retiring some of the American flags that have been donated to the Troop. This is a special opportunity because only Scouts and the military are able to perform this very reverent task so it is important to me that we are all in our Class A Uniforms. Can’t wait to see you all there.

Monday, July 24th, is an activity night! We will be meeting at Slick City by Colorado Mills Mall from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. To participate, you will need to sign this waiver, and everyone will have to pay for themselves at the door. I’m very excited to see u all there, especially you, Zack.

Monday, July 17th, we will be having a PLC at 6pm inside the church to plan until September 18th. All Patrol Leaders and the Scribe should be there. If a Patrol Leader is unable to attend, please send your Assistant Patrol Leader in your place.

During the meeting, Alexander R will be doing a short presentation to help him earn Communications merit badge. After that, Mr. Johnson will also be doing a presentation called “Life to Eagle,” which will help Life Scouts kick start their way to Eagle Scout, but it is still helpful for all Scouts. I’m so excited to see everyone back from our little break.

Monday, June 19th, as you all should know, we are leaving for summer camp next Sunday. Because this will be the last meeting before you all leave, we will be doing some preparation to make sure you are all ready for a great week. Piggybacking on that, this is also the last meeting until our Troop Picnic on July 10th, so, until then, have aa great time!
