And that’s it!!!! The boxes are complete and installed. From the bottom of my heart I thank all of you who helped throughout the entire process. For the installation I thank Beckham S. and Mr. Strauss for helping on Friday and ZackB. on Saturday. Below are some pictures of the finished products. Again thank you to everyone who helped.

2 stages down 1 to go. Thank you so much to those who came on Saturday to help (Hudson, Izaiah, Caleb, Bjorn, Cooper, Aidan, and Andrew). We got everything done in really good time because of everyone who helped. Our final step in my Eagle project is to install the boxes at the fields. The dates are September 23rd (Friday – no Jeffco School) and 24th (in two weeks). Save the date, however we don’t need an extensive amount of help but enough to lift the boxes and position them while we install them would be great. More info will be out soon at the coming meetings. Once again thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way so far. The end is in sight.

So the day was a success. On Saturday we went to Platteville for the first part of my Eagle Scout project. We completed all 10 helmet boxes in record time (only 2 hours late). They are all ready to be painted. Day 2 involves us painting the boxes. Our tentative date is Saturday September 10th. We will then paint all 10 boxes. I need all the help we can get – please keep an eye out for a signup and permission slip coming soon. Again thank you to the few Scouts who helped build the boxes Saturday (Caleb N, Michael S, Zack B). Hope to see you at the painting day!

Hey guys. Hope everyone who went on mystery trip had a fantastic time. Tomorrow we will be having our elections. Those who need a leadership role for advancement, and or need to practice leadership should run. Mr. Ross will also be doing Geocaching merit badge tomorrow night. Finally, for the parents, Mr. Grishman will be talking about advancement in all aspects. See everyone tomorrow.
Tomorrow we will be having our activity night! For those who don’t know we will be meeting at the Urban Air Adventure park on Wadsworth and Bowles. We will also be meeting at 5:45 as our time slot is from 6-8 o’clock. Tomorrow should be fun but remember that in one weeks time are elections so those who don’t have a position and need one should think about that.

Additionally, the cost should be approximately $20/each. We will take note of all attendees and bill the Scout Accounts accordingly. There will likely be waivers needed to be signed by parents – so please do not drop off your Scout and leave until the waiver is signed! Adults do not need to pay if they just want to hang out – for new parents, feel free to use this opportunity to get any unanswered questions answered! No Class A uniforms necessary, but Class B (Troop/BSA shirt) highly recommended!
Hope everyone had a great Presidents’ Day but now we are back. Tomorrow we will be having the new parent orientation and introducing the new scouts to the troop. Also some big news: we decided that our activity night should be at Urban Air Adventure Park. For the group rate ($20 a person) we will need at least 20 people to show up and participate including adults. See you guys tomorrow.
Tomorrow is going to be our PLC meeting. We will be planning about a month of meetings including an Activity night and our elections. Mr. Johnson will also be having an Alaska meeting for those of you who are joining him on his Alaska High Adventure. We will also be bringing up the trailer for those of you who attempted Klondike this weekend to retrieve any and all gear you have still in the trailer.
Tomorrow’s meeting we will be doing planning for the upcoming Klondike camp out coming up this weekend. With any remaining time I would like for us to go down to the troop room and take an inventory of what we have.
Hope everyone has made their preparations for the big day! Tomorrow is our Court of Honor and I hope to see most of you get some sort of advancement. It is not all business though as we will have snacks and fun afterward as usual.
