Since we discovered that the camp in South Dakota the youth selected in the fall is only three day summer camps, the PLC decided to go with the plan B. It will be the same week, but going to Camp Alexander during the planned week. We need sign ups in the next 3 week in order to make sure we have enough interest for the reservation at Camp A. Please sign up here!!!
For those going on this summer’s Philmont Trip, you are encouraged to sign-up for Project Tenderfoot. We will take time on Saturday to do a Philmont prep hike in the National Forest surrounding camp Paytia. If you are able to go, please sign up for the campout before Monday’s meeting.
The first meeting of the new Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) is this Monday, 16 March, starting at 6 PM at the Abiding Hope Nature School. The newly elected SPL, ASPL, Patrol Leaders, and Scribe should plan to attend. Others are welcome to attend.
The Council is restarting Pack 815 at Kendallvue Elementary. The new Pack could use some help for their Join Scouting Night this week. They could use some Scouts to run some games and keep the kids busy while parents do paperwork.
If you can help, please come to Kendallvue Elementary at 5:50pm on Wednesday, 18 March.

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to me during your meeting and for making space on the agenda for the Investment in Character presentation. I truly appreciate the opportunity to share why this campaign means so much to me.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to those who chose to make a donation. Your support is already making a meaningful impact on youth and families across our community.
If you were unable to donate during the meeting, or if you happened to miss the presentation, there is still an opportunity to support the Investment in Character campaign. Every contribution, of any size, helps remove barriers and opens the door for a child to experience the benefits of Scouting.
Donations can be made online at:

Thank you again for your time, your consideration, and for all you do to support Scouting and the youth we serve. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to learn more about how these funds are used.
With gratitude,
Savannah Dalton

Your registration is now a 12 month rolling window from your last registration date. Over time fewer and fewer of our members will be due on 31 December.
Parents should have received numerous emails or texts notifying them that their Scout’s registration was due. You can renew your membership through My.Scouting: https://my.scouting.org/
Look to the bell icon in the upper right for the registration within My.Scouting
If you need reimbursement from your Scout Account, please contact the Troop Treasurer, Mr. Finley.

The theme this year is Ice Planet Hoth. This is in no way related to any movie that involves Jedi despite how it appears. Have fun with this! Deck your sled out like a X wing or Tie fighter, wear a Jedi inspired costume. Take on a resistance or empire theme. Be creative and have a fun time preparing your sled!

Troop 640 had a big night at the Annual Tahosa Lodge Order of the Arrow Banquet. Tahosa Lodge uses the night to recognize outstanding achievements.
The biggest recognition of the evening was at the end of the evening when Vigil Candidates were announced. The lodge is only allowed to select 2% of its members, which makes it more rare than becoming an Eagle Scout. Tahosa Lodge selected 12 individuals from all the nominations. Troop 640’s Patrick H. and Alexander R. we’re among the 12 selected.
Additional awards of the evening were the Uncas Award for significant contributions to OA Elections in 2025. Patrick, Alexander, Mr. Hanson, and Mr. Ross were recognized for this. Additionally, Patrick and Mr. Ross were recognized for their contributions as leaders of the Mystic Raven Chapter.
