Alexander’s Eagle Court of Honor

Alexander will have his Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Sunday, February 18th. The Court of Honor will start at 4:00PM with refreshments to follow. It will take place at Light of the World Roman Catholic Church (10306 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80127) where Alexander did his Eagle Project. Please come to celebrate Alexander’s accomplishment, and enjoy some refreshments too!

Alexander’s Eagle Project

I am doing my Eagle Scout Project this Saturday, August 26th from 9 AM to 3PM.  I am building a pergola at Light of the World Church.

I really need Scouts and due to BSA safety guidelines, I also need adults. Please consider signing up to help me.  It would be great to have at least 4 youth and 4 adults during the whole time I am planning to build.  Please come for as long as you can during those times.

We will build pergolas in the Rosary Garden at Light of the World.

This is in the parking lot of Light of the World (10306 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80127).

Please sign up on the website ASAP. If you forget and want to just show up Saturday, that’s allowed as well! Service hours will be granted!

Alexander’s Eagle Project Car Wash

I am doing the fundraiser for my Eagle Scout Project this Saturday, June 3rd from 9 AM to 12 PM.  I am doing a Car Wash at Light of the World

I really need Scouts to help wash cars at the Car Wash.  Please consider signing up to help me.  It would be great to have at least 10 people for the whole time I am holding the car wash.  Please come for as long as you can.

The funds I am raising will help pay for the $5,000 of materials I need to build pergolas in the Rosary Garden at Light of the World.

The carwash will be held in the parking lot of Light of the World (10306 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80127).

Please help support my Eagle Project, and get service hours for your next rank and sign up here!

Jacob’s Eagle Court of Honor Photos

Thank you everyone who attended Jacob’s Eagle Court of Honor this past weekend! Our family really appreciated everyone’s support including all the support Jacob has had by the Troop all these years. Hopefully everyone had a good time and enjoyed the special appearance by a live bald eagle!

Jacob Eagle Project Final Update

And that’s it!!!! The boxes are complete and installed. From the bottom of my heart I thank all of you who helped throughout the entire process. For the installation I thank Beckham S. and Mr. Strauss for helping on Friday and Zack B. on Saturday. Below are some pictures of the finished products. Again thank you to everyone who helped.

Installing the first bases into the concrete
Lining up the first box
Mr. Strauss put down the megaphone long enough to actually help
Brothers working to flip over a box
Making sure the boxes actually satisfy their intended purpose
One of the taller boxes, as it appears fully installed
The final box that we installed. This field had shorter boxes for younger players.
Many thanks to Foothills for providing a couple of nice plaques.

Jacob Eagle Project Update #2

2 stages down 1 to go. Thank you so much to those who came on Saturday to help (Hudson, Izaiah, Caleb, Bjorn, Cooper, Aidan, and Andrew). We got everything done in really good time because of everyone who helped. Our final step in my Eagle project is to install the boxes at the fields. The dates are
September 23rd (Friday – no Jeffco School) and 24th (in two weeks). Save the date, however we don’t need an extensive amount of help but enough to lift the boxes and position them while we install them would be great. More info will be out soon at the coming meetings. Once again thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way so far. The end is in sight.

Here are a few photos of the workday:

The initial crew about to get started
Hudson painting the tops
Jacob showing how it’s done
Hudson quickly realizing how hard it is to keep paint off his body and clothes
Enjoying lunch
Cooper painting the hard-to-reach corners
Aidan performing touch-ups
Andrew getting in on the fun as we finish
The freshly painted boxes and cleaned painting tools drying

Jacob Eagle Project Update

So the day was a success. On Saturday we went to Platteville for the first part of my Eagle Scout project. We completed all 10 helmet boxes in record time (only 2 hours late). They are all ready to be painted. Day 2 involves us painting the boxes. Our tentative date is Saturday September 10th. We will then paint all 10 boxes. I need all the help we can get – please keep an eye out for a signup and permission slip coming soon. Again thank you to the few Scouts who helped build the boxes Saturday (Caleb N, Michael S, Zack B). Hope to see you at the painting day!

Here are a few photos of the workday:

The stack of plywood we began the day with
Adding dividers to the frames
Our piles of cut wood, being attended to by our additional helpers
A lot of gluing to be done
A good view of the box on the left, finished boxes on their side on the right
All 10 boxes completed and ready to be painted
Transporting the boxes from Platteville to Littleton
