COVID-19 Statement

All politics, opinions and internet (dis)information aside, Troop 640 will continue to adhere to the policies and guidelines of Scouts BSA, the CDC, Jefferson County and Genesis Presbyterian when it comes to indoor meetings and events.

1. Wear a mask indoors. Period.

2. Quarantine if you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19.

3. People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms. However, fully vaccinated people should get tested 5-7 days after their exposure.

We will rely on the honor system as much as possible, but as the Scoutmaster (and Health Department employee) I have zero desire to get any of our kids and families sick or to sponsor a super spreader event. If you can’t or don’t want to prove vaccination or testing status, a two week quarantine is your – and our – best option. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.
