2025 High Adventure Scuba Trip to Cozumel

As discussed over the past year, we are forging forward with a Scuba Trip to Cozumel!

I’m still finalizing costs for the actual trip as well as potential group rates for Scuba Certification for those that need it. But we need to get “official” commitments and signups so please sign up here! I’m going to try to set up the bookings for 2 types, those who are Scuba Diving and those attending who are not planning to dive. As a reminder, only Scouts and registered ASMs are allowed to dive on this adventure as we may need to limit the numbers to have correct crew sizes for the boat.

We will plan to have at least one day of chartered deep sea fishing and perhaps a day of sightseeing around Cozumel and/or a boat tour (on a non-Scuba day).

Certification should happen fairly soon over the winter so you can also plan for your open water certification dives (likely at Homestead Crater in Utah) before our adventure in June of 2025. Currently planning for the week of June 7th (Saturday) until the 14th – but dates may change – please indicate preferences in your registration.

Rough Itinerary (days can be ordered however we want, but Scuba is best sold as a package of 3/4/5 days):

Day 1: Fly to Cozumel, Arrive at Wyndham Resort
Day 2: Scuba Dive (2-tank Dive)
Day 3: Scuba Dive (2-tank Dive)
Day 4: Scuba Dive (2-tank Dive)
Day 5: Scuba Dive or Fishing Charter or Sightseeing
Day 6: Scuba Dive or Fishing Charter or Sightseeing
Day 7: Fishing Charter or Sightseeing or Relaxation Day
Day 8: Fly Home

Fees:

Flights will likely be around $700-800 unless Southwest returns to Cozumel (doubtful) OR, I can get a group rate with United (the only airline to fly nonstop and I really really don’t want to connect with this many people travelling).
Scuba is $333 for 3 days, $444 for 4 days, $544 for 5 days plus cost to rent equipment
Fishing is limited to 8 and costs range depending on how long we go out (4, 6, or 8 hours) and seems to max out at about $123/person for a full 8 hours (cheaper for shorter trips)
Sightseeing will depend on what we do but likely much cheaper than options above
Hotel is approximately $763/person for all 7 nights and is ALL INCLUSIVE (all meals, drinks, snacks, etc)
All of the above may be cheaper if we get enough signups to get a comp. It seems that our 12th attendee would be free for hotel and diving so that would drop the average price per person. We will have other, relatively minor fees like airport transfers, baggage fees (I get a lot of free bags if we are on United and all on my reservation), etc.

Total varies widely, but I’m thinking we will be in the $2000-2200 range for the whole trip.
