Heavily Discounted Camping Gear

Many of you have heard me talk about the killer deals that Alps Mountaineering gives to families of Boy Scouts. If you don’t know about this deal, you need to check it out! All you have to do is go to www.hikerdirect.com and register, identifying yourself as a Parent (or ASM) of a scout and use our Troop number and, if asked, Genesis Presbyterian Church as our charter organization.

The deals really are great – we’ve bought several things from them. It’s hard not to when you see the discounts. Keep in mind that the Troop tents are all Alps brands and they’ve withstood the test of years of Scout use. They have a great warranty department and their customer service is second to none. They also have a private Facebook group you can follow to get access to some secret, Scout-only sales on occasion!

With all the folks camping the past few months, their stock is pretty low on a lot of stuff, but they promise folks it will return! Happy camping!
