Mask Update, UPDATED!

UPDATE FOR 2/28 MEETING: We have received confirmation from the church earlier today that we no longer are required to wear masks while inside the church. Of course wearing a mask is optional and any judgment of anyone’s decision to wear or not wear one will NOT BE TOLERATED. Thank you to everyone for helping keep each other safe during these unpredictable times.

Although Jefferson County, as well as the Jefferson County Schools, removed their mask mandates on Friday, Feb 11, the Troop will need to continue wearing masks at our Troop meetings for the time being. As we are a guest in the building owned by Genesis Presbyterian Church, we need to follow their rules. I have personally reached out to our contact at Genesis to determine their guidelines. At this time there is no change to the requirement to wear masks in the building. Like most of us, they were caught off-guard by the swift change in dates for the mask mandate change by the County. They plan to meet on Feb 21 to decide on any changes to their mask guidelines for the building. We will remain in communication with Genesis and let you know of any changes to their mask guidelines. Thank you for your continued support in being good citizens and following the guidelines that are set in place by our hosts.
